Description
All the blocks available are of various natural rocks, such as granite, slate, porphyry, sandstone, basalt. Dimensions vary and are indicatively in cm: area 10 x 10, 10 x 20, 10 x free length and thickness 3-5.5-7.7-10.
For 10x10cm blocks, the following apply:
1 ton in a 3-5 cm thick with a 1.8 cm joint covers about 11 m²
1 ton in a thickness of 5-7 cm with a joint of 1.8 cm covers about 8 m²
1 ton in a thickness of 7-10 cm with a 1,8 cm joint covers about 6 m²
Placement:
1. On natural soil
The natural soil is set and condensed as best as possible. Then lay with plating materials (3A) to achieve a flat surface with the appropriate slopes. On the new surface, sand is laid to a thickness of approximately 7-8 cm, then the blocks are placed in a design of our choice and the filling of the gaps follows with sand. This mode is recommended for flat or low inclined surfaces and also the blocks should have a good thickness of about 10cm.
2. On a concrete surface
We create a lightly reinforced concrete substrate and on top of it we place the blocks using cement slurry. For grouting, we can use the same cement at the time of placement, or we can leave the joints uncovered and after 2-3 days fill them either with wet slurry or with cement sand powder that will then be ‘watered’.
