Description
Irregular slates are natural stones and their name is due to their irregular shape. They come from stone blocks that are torn (slate) into plates perpendicular to compression.
We have irregular plates of Albania, Arta, Karystos and many importations. Natural slabs are a first-class choice for paving your yard. Usually they are marketed in various thicknesses ranging from 1 cm to 8 cm.
They are placed on a 5-10 cm thick concrete substrate, on which we place the irregular plates with a joint of about 1-2 cm, using sludge. For a more accurate result, some plates should be chiseled using a metal hammer. The grouting is done with the same sludge we use for their installation, and with grout suitable for natural rocks in different colors.
