Description
Calcium silicate is prepared by mixing lime (calcium oxide, CaO) and quartz sand (silica, SiO2) with water and some other additives. The stocks of raw materials of calcium silicate are abundant. They are minerals that can be considered non-exhaustible and are pure rock materials. Its insulation is harmless.
Calcium silicate is non-combustible and has excellent fire-protective properties.
Calcium silicate prevents mold growth and mold formation because of the pH value of 10. Calcium silicate insulations have a relatively high cost.
